Goal

Acmepacket tears down the intial leg of the call with BYE when the app server tears down the second leg on hairpin flows. Same flow works on 6.2.0 but not on 6.3.9

Solution

The behavior of the call flow changed between 6.2 and 6.3 onwards. This would include callflows for features such as Shared Call Appearance, call-pickup,find-me-follow-me and other hairpin flows. To make these calls work you need to first upgrade to 6.3.9 and then configure options shown below under media-manager . The sequence of commands are

media-manager
select
options +dont-terminate-assoc-legs
done
exit
exit
exit
save-config
activate-config

After saving and activating this configuration one would need to reboot the SBCs for the changes to take effect. The SBCs need to be rebooted one at a time so that they dont loose service.
