Goal

We are trying to apply BP22 on the RDBMS home - /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.3/dbhome_3 ( Which is already with BP17)

And while applying we are encountering the below error.

Solution

This DB Home was cloned from existing Oracle Home. During Cloning few Hidden files were missing ".patch_storage". To resolve this Copy ".patch_storage" folder and all files into to this Oracle Home and patch again.
