Goal

 How to replace a Sun Ray or peripheral device attached to a Sun Ray.

Solution

DISPATCH INSTRUCTIONS WHAT SKILLS DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED?:  No special skill or training required.
TIME ESTIMATE: 15 minutes
TASK COMPLEXITY: 0

FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR INSTRUCTIONS: 
Simply swap defective Sun Ray, Mouse, Keyboard, or Monitor with replacement component or spare unit that might already be onsite. 

PROBLEM OVERVIEW: 
A Sun Ray Client or peripheral device (mouse, keyboard, or monitor) attached to Sun Ray requires replacement.

WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?: 
No particular requirement.

WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE?: 
Upon receiving replacement part or if spare part is already available, simply unplug existing defective device and install replacement device in it's place.  Make sure all cables and/or cords are re-inserted in same slots as previously wired.

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE TO
RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
Once everything is reconnected, validate the Sun Ray is operational and user can log back in.
