Goal

To obtain the proper System/Chassis Serial Number for Storage 2540 M2

Solution

1. If you have access to CAM (Sun Storage Common Array Manager), please use the steps below to retrieve the Serial Number.

> Select Storage Array
> Administration
> Click on Licensing.

FEI and System/Chassis Serial Numbers are displayed under "Licensable Feature Summary on Storage System"(right window pane).

2. If no access to CAM, the other option is to use command line (CLI):
sscs list -a <arrayname> license.
