Is this software compatible with VSS on Windows Server 2012 ?

The bundled readme of VSS v1.2 doesn't list the supportability for 'Windows server 2012'

2.0 Supported Windows Versions

    Version 1.2 of the Sun ZFSSA Provider for VSS requires one of the following Microsoft Windows Versions:

        Microsoft Windows Server 2003
        Microsoft Windows Server 2008

    All Microsoft Windows Updates for these Windows Versions should be supported, but it is advised you are on the latest Update / Patch for the respective platform.

    Target Sun ZFS Storage Appliances MUST have a minimum of the 2010.Q3.3 release of Sun ZFS Storage Software installed.

New versions of this plug-in will be made available if changes are required for appliance versions after 2010.Q3.3.

According to Internal/Interop testing and verification the 'Windows Server 2012' has been tested and certified for the ZFSSA plugin 'VSS v1.2'.
Customer can utilize the VSS v1.2 plugin for Windows Server 2012 , provided the ZFSSA should be running on firmware 2011.1.x
