Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

 To assist users on how to use vncViewer in Oracle Database Appliance Virtual Machine (ODAVM).

Solution

1.  Open a Putty session and connect to the ODA_BASEExecute vncserver as shown:

vncserverPutty


2.  Open vncviewer and use output from the above command (in this example - odax32in1:3) to connect:

vncviewerclient

3.  If needed you can reset the password at this point. 


Login to ODA_BASE via PuTTy and execute vncpasswd, as shown below, to reset the password:

vncPasswordreset


4.  Enter the password in the vncClient window to login:

vncAuthentication


5.  You may then use the xWindow in the vncwindow for Installations.  Shown below is the oak deploy screen:

vncwindow
