I need to run diagnostics on a T10000 tape drive.
There are 3 diag tapes
1 1 -13 1 13 DG000T1
1 2 -13 1 12 DG003T1
1 3 -13 1 12 DG006T1
Is there a way to load 1 of those tapes in drive slot 48 or 1,2,2,1,1 with SLConsole?

Goal

SL8500 - How to Load a Diagnostic Tape into a drive using SLConsole.

Solution

There are two ways this can be done:

1. Use the "DiagMove" feature under the "Diagnostics" tab in SL Console.

or

2. Use the "RcvrMove" feature under the "Diagnostics" tab in SL Console.  With this option, use "RcvrMove" to move a tape out to the CAP from a slot and then do a "RcvrMove" from the CAP (Cartridge Access Port) to a drive.  To dismount the drive, do a "RcvrMove" from the drive to the CAP and then from the CAP back to the slot.
