GoalThis document explains generic steps to bring LUNs Online which went offline due to power failure. SolutionLUNs went offline following power failure due to "lost data flag" set for them. You should manually remove this flag from the LUNs. There is no automatic recovery in that case as power loss is an un-predictable event for the system. To recover the LUNs go to System Alert screen. This screen can be accessible via clicking the yellow triangle at the left bottom of the GUI in both R4 and R5. There should be an Administrator Action (AA) for each LUN that is offline including text in it "Lost Data" and/or "LUN Offline". Double click to each AA and check details. You will see three radio buttons listed: - Do nothing - Clear Lost Data - Delete Message
If you cannot see these options then check which user are you using to access Axiom GUI. These options only available for the users who has Administrator rights. "pillar" user cannot see these options as it is not authorized to make any changes on the system. Choose "Clear Lost Data" option and click "OK". This will bring the LUN online.
Contact Technical Solution Center if you cannot see these options even you are logged on Axiom GUI with an user with administator rights. Attachments This solution has no attachment |
