Goal

 How to change the console baud rate via telnet or console connection.

Solution

In order to change the Console's baud rate via telnet, access the Acme Packet Command Line Interface (ACLI), simply type "shell", enter the password of "vxworks", and then type the following command:

[vxKernel] -> sysConsoleBaudRateSet

The current console baud rate is 115200.


Baud rate choices:

1 - 9600
2 - 14400
3 - 19200
4 - 38400
5 - 57600
6 - 115200

Enter choice [1-6] or anything else to leave unchanged:

The console baud rate was not changed.

Otherwise, if using the console, the baud rate can be changed by interrupting the boot sequence, and pressing 'B'.

Press the space bar to stop auto-boot...

[Acme Packet Boot]: B
The current console baud rate is 115200.

Baud rate choices:
1 - 9600
2 - 14400
3 - 19200
4 - 38400
5 - 57600
6 - 115200
