Goal

How to clear old ILOM hardware faults in Exalogic environment

Solution

The procedure to follow when old faults were not cleared is:

1. Clear the faults from the ILOM using one of the following methods:

    a. Through the ILOM Web GUI:

        Please review the section Clear Faults Detected from the Oracle ILOM (Web) in ILOM 3.0 Web Procedures Guide : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19860-01/E21446/E21446.pdf

    b. Through the CLI:

        Please review the Document ID: 1381773.1 - How to clear FMA logs on the ILOM or Solaris on x86 platforms

2. Reset the ILOM:

-> reset /SP

3. Monitor if the fault comes back or not.

If the fault comes back, then obtain an ILOM Snapshot and open a Service Request with Oracle Support to investigate further.
