Goal

To inform our customers what is the support policy for microcode on Oracle manufactured tape drives.

Solution

Oracle Tape Drive Engineering’s Support Policy is to support the latest/highest version of tape drive microcode and one release version prior. Any/all issues opened against two code levels down or earlier will not be supported by engineering. Reported issues will be assigned back to the opening party and they will be directed to upgrade to either most current release or one level prior release of code and then if the issue persists engineering will actively engage in root cause analysis and subsequent corrective action for the reported issue.
