Goal

You wish to enable a second SNMP monitoring system on your Exadata environment.

However there are Platinum agents currently installed on the Compute Nodes, and you do not want to interfere with their operations.

Solution

The Platinum team has provided the following direction:

- The Platinum SNMP manager must be listed first, or the ASR notifications will not work. Please put any Customer SNMP destinations at the end of the list.

This is the only requirement of the Platinum monitoring.
