WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
The server’s redundant hot-pluggable power supplies enable you to remove and replace a power supply without shutting the server down provided that the other power supply is online and working
WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
1. Identify which power supply requires replacement.
A lighted amber LED on a power supply indicates that a failure was detected. You can also use the show faults command at the sc> prompt
2. Disconnect the power cord from the faulty power supply.
3. Grasp the power supply handle and push the power supply latch to the right.
4. Pull the power supply out of the chassis.
5. Installation is the reverse of this procedure.
6. Clean the error message by using the section C - Post-Repair Procedures from the document: PSH Procedural Article for ILOM-Based Diagnosis <Document: 1155200.1>
