Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

After installing a new blade or plate in a QLogic SANbox 9200 switch, its display in Enterprise Fabric Manager may be grayed out.

This article presents the method to cause the new blade or plate to display as active.

Solution

Connect one of the ports on the new blade to a Fibre channel node/device such that the FC link is up/active.

For example, move an existing connection from an existing blade port to a port on the new blade. Enterprise Fabric Manager will then display the new blade correctly.
