Goal

Some customers may want to, based upon security concerns, to run Exachk via the management network and have run into issues trying to get this to work as they feel it should.

Is it possible to run Exachk using the management network rather than the public network?

Solution

If you use a Version of Exachk lower than 2.2.3, you will have to use the public network.

There has been filed an enhancement request to enable Exachk to run via the managment network in:

<Bug 17088047> - HOSTNAME IS PUBLIC NETWORK INSTEAD OF MGMT NETWORK

This feature must be implemented in version 2.2.3 and higher of Exachk.
