Created from <SR 3-7571249571> Applies to:Sun StorageTek SL3000 Modular Library System - Version All Versions and laterSun StorageTek SL8500 Modular Library System - Version Not Applicable and later Information in this document applies to any platform. GoalWhat is causing "Cartridge unexpectedly discovered" message? Solution"Cartridge unexpectedly discovered" message may be produced during a CAP audit upon closing the CAP. is a generic WARNING Event - Produce SNMP (level 2) trap. It is a common way of reporting discovered cartridges for SL8500 and SL3000 firmware regardless of the CAP mode(automatic or manual) and as such is not an error. The Software which manages the robot (ACSLS, HSC,NetBackup...) can not influence the way the firmware reports the discovered cartridges because it is coded in the firmware. Further investigation is required if this message is produced during an operation not associated with a CAP enter activity e.g. during drive dismount activity
