Goal

Cooling the Tape Drive.

Solution

The T10000D tape drive does NOT have internal cooling fans within the drive brick.

To provide drive cooling, it is critical for the drive to either be installed in an SL8500 or SL3000 drive tray or be connected to the cooling tool.

The Tool, PN 7052542 will be available to order in September 2013.

Note: T10000C and T10000D do NOT use the same drive tray.

Note: The SL3000 Fan Assembly FRU is PN 7052546. The SL300 Fan Assembly is for one fan only, so, 2 fans are required per tray and each comes with a fan and a bracket.

The SL8500 Fan Assembly FRU is PN 7052400. This assembly comes with 2 fans and a bracket.
