Goal

What firmware of SL3000 supports HP/IBM LTO6 tape drives?

LTO6 Support in SL3000.

Solution

ACSLS must be reconfigured with the correct drive type and ACSLS must also be at a minimum level 8.1 to support Lto6 drives along with the SL3000 code level.

The library and ACSLS can be updated dynamically after the drives have been physically installed. The library auto configures after the drive is installed and ACSLS can reconfigure drive types dynamically by the use the ACSLS config commands; config acs or config drive.

LTO6 Minimum Code levels:

SL3000 @ 4.0; includes ADI support for STA

ACSLS @ 8.1
