Applies to:

Oracle Exalytics Software - Version 1.0.0.0.0 to 1.0.0.3.0 [Release 1.0]
Exalytics In-Memory Machine X2-4 - Version All Versions and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Does Exalytics development or product management certify specific network switches for use with Exalytics?

For example, is it supported to use a Cisco Nexus Switch and 10GE Fabric Extenders with an Exalytics server?

Solution

Oracle Development does not certify specific switches.
The Exalytics server uses industry standard parts and as long as a network switch meets the industry standards, there should be no concern in working with any particular network switch.
