  •  The SL500 1483 code was tested with SLC 5.80

  • Note: Tape drive availability is independent of library code. If or when this particular drive will become available is unknown at this time.

  and

  • The SL500 1485 code was tested with SLC 6.00.
  • Fixed issue that could, on rare occasions, cause erroneous tape alerts to be set for an HP LTO 5 or LTO6 drive in ADI mode. This issue could also cause drive data performance to degrade.

Note:

The decision was made to only go with HP LTO6 drives in the SL500 and that those drives would only be available as upgrades to customers that already have purchased a SL500.  So you can't order a new SL500 with the LTO6 drives.
