Goal

How to replace lost transaction codes for Brocade FC Switch licenses.

Note: Oracle support does not provide new or replacement transaction codes or licenses.

Note: Verify current support status of Fibre Channel Switches:

Oracle Fibre Channel (FC) Switch "Last Ship Dates (LSD)" and "Support End Dates(SED)" (ie EOl/EOSL) Information (Doc ID 1622649.1)

Example:

Brocade 200E EOSL was 10/31/2014 and is no longer supported by either Oracle or Brocade.

Solution

For replacement of lost transaction codes.

Fill out the data on the following page and for assistance.

http://www.oracle.com/us/support/licensecodes/sun/brocade-switches-274751.html

Select the "Replacement" radio button, then fill out form completely.

Alternatively, you can forward your email to: licensecodes_ww@oracle.com

If above steps do not resolve situation a Oracle Service Request (SR) can be created for the specific Brocade FC Switch using switches serial number.

Provide following information:

- The serial number of the switch.
- The purchase order reference.
- The serial number of the licenses ordered

Verify Switch is under active maintenance contract and is not EOSL.

<Document 1947447.1> Verifying Entitlement on Brocade Fibre Channel (FC) Switch Service Request (SR)

<Document 1622649.1> Oracle Fibre Channel (FC) Switch "Last Ship Dates (LSD)" and "Support End Dates(SED)" (ie EOl/EOSL) Information

The Oracle support engineer can then engage Brocade support to address request.

L1 Oracle TSE would need to open a collab SR for L2 FC Switch TSE who is authorized to open Brocade case.
