Goal

Process to Upgrade Belisarius Microcode On IBM LTO Drive

Solution

Download firmware from MOS Patches and Updates. (current patch id 145727-03 for Belisarious version 2.38.24, released on Dec/3/2012)

Use Customer or CSE version of VOP (Customer version is available on edelivery.oracle.com)

Connect to drive using IP address
Select "Service Drive" tab
Select "Load Firmware"
Select the belisarious firmware file that was downloaded from MOS

*see picture attached.

** Note: For LTO5 and LTO6, using latest version of VOP. An option is available to update drive firmware, as well as Belisarious firmware. But for LTO4 this option will not work.
