Goal
Is the HBZ imprinted with serial number when it's installed in the library?
Solution
The HBZ module for the CAP/SSD/Elevator is not permanently imprinted with the serial number and can be freely used in any machine and swapped as required during troubleshooting. In addition, even cards like the HBCR that are imprinted are only transient anyway. It will take whatever the serial number is of the HBK card. In other words, you can swap the card between machines. However, in the case of the HBCR, you need to be aware of installed microcode type and version as that does stay with the swapped card and can impact the receiving machine.
