Goal

How to remotely reboot the Front Panel of the Library (via SLConsole) after getting errors with connection and refreshing.

SLConsole at SL8500 Cannot Be Refreshed - Get Error Message Of "no Connection"

Solution

If you have remote connection through SLConsole, you can follow the process:

Tools--> Diagnostics--> Activate Code--> Selected the Target "SLConsole" and press Activate on the latest code.

activate

This will reboot the Operator Panel on the Front of the Library showing this message on the "Activate Console":

Activation started
Reboot of local operator console started
Local operator console is disconnected
Waiting for local operator console to reconnect...
Waiting for local operator console to reconnect...
Reconnected to local operator console
Local operator console is now running : "code you selected"

The Operator Panel should be ready and online after that. If you still have problems, you might request an Engineer to Manually reboot and re-calibrate the Operator Panel.
