Goal

This document pertains to the VGA port that is onboard in the T4-1 server.

After the server boots, a shell is displayed with a large blue font.
When trying to run startx, a message is displayed that it cannot connect or can not start the X server.

The goal of this document is to get an X session started on the VGA console.

Solution

Execute the following commands:

# ln -s /dev/fbs/ast0 /dev/fb
# fbconfig -xserver Xorg
# reboot
