Goal

Procedure to Remove a Magazine from a Sun Storage C2 Tape Autoloader with the library powered off (offline).

Fix

Use the attached document, starting at page 4 "Manual Magazine Ejection" through page 6.  Pictures and cautions are provided there.

Manual Magazine Ejection:

To manually eject the magazine without removing the top cover, slide a plastic card on the front, inside edge of the magazine between the magazine and the front panel. At the bottom of the slot is a latch that you must push out of the way to manually eject the magazine. After releasing the latch, use the handle to remove the magazine (see figure 1 and figure 2).

Unable to Eject Left or Right Magazine 0
If after trying to eject the magazine manually, you find that the magazine will not release, use the following procedure to remove the lodged magazine.

If you insert the card into the slot and the magazine does not eject, it may be blocked by the magazine gear.
Remove the opposite magazine and rotate the picker (see figure 4). Rotate the picker in the direction illustrated in figure 10 on page 9.
