How can the creation date of a scheduled snapshot be determined from the snapshot filename under In this Document

FixA share created on the ZFS Storage Appliance contains the directory ./zfs/snapshot. This directory contains a list of all snapshots on the filesystem, and they can be accessed just like normal filesystem data (in read only mode). The .zfs directory is hidden by default, and can only be accessed by explicitly changing to the .zfs directory. This behavior can be changed in the Snapshot view, but may cause backup software to backup snapshots in addition to live data.
Reference : Sun ZFS Storage 7000 System Administration Guide, Snapshot Properties
A listing of this directory will display snapshots created for this share. Scheduled snapshots are named '.auto-<timestamp>' with the timestamp being reported in Unix time (seconds since 1 January 1970 00:00 UTC).
The method used to convert Unix time to GMT will vary based on your client operating system. References<BUG:15507413> - SUNBT6746927-AK-8 WANT A WAY TO GIVE AUTOMATIC SNAPSHOTS ARBITRARY NAMESAttachments This solution has no attachment |
