Goal

Machine Reel Leader Replacement Information

Solution

The T10000 Machine Reel Leader is not a field replacable unit. (FRU). If this internal drive leader becomes broken or dislodged the cover can be removed to retrieve the customer tape. Once the cover seal is broken (for any reason) this drive must be replaced as the warranty is voided.

This Knowledge Entry is not talking about the leader that is in the cartridge, it is discussing the leader that is internal to the tape drive reel.
