GoalUsing the SL8500/SL3000/SL500 Streamline Library Console to move tapes within the Library. Solution1. Bring up SLConsole either through the local operators panel or a remote session on your laptop. It is always a good idea to be sure you are using the latest version of SLConsole in relation with the current version of microcode the library is running. Call TSC with any questions you might have. 2. Once SLConsole has been launched, go to "Tools" in the upper left corner. 3. From the Tools drop down, select Diagnostics. 4. Once the Diagnostics screen is displayed, expand the SLConsole window horizontally. This will allow one to see all the tabs for the Diagnostic functions. 5. Select the "RcvrMove" tab. 6. Select the Source location of the tape by known location or VOLID. 7. Once the source and destination information has been entered, click on the "Start" button in the upper right. 8. Assuming valid source and destination locations have been entered and the "Start" button has been clicked, the following message box should be seen. 9. If the "Successfully Moved" message is not displayed, go back to step 6 and verify the source and destination locations. Attachments This solution has no attachment |
