FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS

WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?:

While all types of maintenance are available for the XSCF Dual Cable from a BB to a BB replacement, the easiest is Active/hot maintenance.
For the other maintenance types see the M10 Service Manual

1. Execute the XSCF> replacefru command to isolate the Standby BB unit

2. On the Standby BB remove the faulted XSCF Dual cable by pushing the lock release buttons on the both sides of the cable and disconnecting the cable.

3. Trace the cable to the Master XSCF and disconnect the cable from it

4. Install the replacement cable.

5. Execute the XSCF> replacefru command to restore the Standby BB to service

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE

WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:

Verify the status of all domains.
