Field training in M10-4S servers TASK COMPLEXITY: 2 Time Estimate: 30 minutes FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?: All types of maintenance are available for the Fan unit, but the easiest is Active/hot maintenance. For the other maintenance types see the M10 Service Manual
1. Execute the XSCF> replacefru command to isolate the target Fan unit from the Crossbar box 2. Remove the front cover 3. Pull out the fan unit while raising the lever of the fan unit. Fan units are numbered starting from the left 0 to 3 4. Replace the Fan unit 5. Replace the front cover 6. Execute the XSCF> replacefru command to restore the Fan to Service
