Goal
Lots of error messages like the following popped up on ILOM Console and also appears in /var/log/message file :
IPMI message handler: BMC returned incorrect response, expected netfn 7 cmd 35, got netfn 7 cmd 1

Fix
The workaround is to periodically restart the ILOM to clear the error state.
There are 3 main ways to restart the ILOM:
1. Locally from the host OS, via the via the kernel IPMI device driver
# ipmitool bmc reset cold
2. From another host, via network:
# ipmitool -H gpdmcel01-ilom -U root -P bmc reset cold
3. By opening an SSH session directly to the ILOM and issuing:
> reset /SP
Upgrade of ILOM firmware to the latest version will also fix the issue.
