Goal

Check or change IO Port Speed on the Oracle Fabric Interconnect

Solution

The below command will help you confirm the port speed on the IO Director:

admin@chassis[xsigo] show diagnostics iop <IOP> port-info <port_number>

Look for the values:
                       auto negotiation = enabled
                       full duplex mode = enabled
                       rate = 1000Mbps

In order to change the port speed on the IO Director, use the following command:
Prerequisites: There should be 'no' vNICs terminitating on this IOport. The below command will help you move the vNICs off. Please NOTE it will delete the vNIC from the host (hence the traffic flowing over this vNIC will drop - disruptive)

admin@chassis[xsigo] set vnic <vnicname.serverprofile> -if=none

admin@chassis[xsigo] set ethernet-port <card / port> up -rate=?
Possible completions:
[Available values]
    100m
    10g
    1g
    autoNegotiate

Reset the Ethernet port for the above changes to take effect.

admin@chassis[xsigo] set ioport <card / port> down

Wait 2-3 minutess and run the following command:

admin@chassis[xsigo] set ioport <card / port> up
