Goal

Learn how to generate logs for Oracle Fabric Directors from within Oracle Fabric Manager GUI.

Fix

To get the Oracle Fabric Director log files from within Oracle Fabric Manager, log in to the Oracle Fabric Manager GUI and perform the following steps:

1. Click on the 'Fabric Directors' under Fabric Directors on the lower left hand side of the OFM page.
2. Select the desired Oracle Fabric Director and click on 'Collect log files from Selected Fabric Director' as shown below

3. In the Recent Job summary view the job status.

4. Once the job is completed, navigate to '/opt/xsigo/xms/xms-backups' on the Linux Oracle Fabric Manager server and locate the log file. This path will be different if Oracle Fabric Manager is installed on a Windows Server. Default path for Windows is :: \Program Files\Xsigo\xms\logs.
