Goal

With Xsigo drivers, Link speed for the Xsigo presented network adapters (vNIC's) shows as zero on some of the windows 2008 R2 hosts.

Fix

This is just a display issue, you can confirm by #watch vnic <vnic.server_profile_name> on the chassis.

Workaround:

Launch the "Change User Account Control settings" - UAC on the windows host

Change the setting to “Never notify” from the default setting, reboot the host, The vNIC speed will be correctly displayed as 10gpbs or 1gbps.
