Goal

Learn how to find the Server HCA Board ID in order to identify which F/W or OptionROM version to install.

Solution

This process requires logging into the Fabric director as admin, then as root. Please note that the root account should not be used in normal administrative tasks on the Fabric Director.

1. Find the LID of a HCA using:

admin@kentucky[xsigo] show diagnostics ib-path george 1 ?

Here george is a server with a connectX HCA.
