Goal

Learn how to view and confirm if the Enable/Disable Confirmation message setting before deleting or bringing down a port or virtual resource on the Fabric Director CLI.

Fix

The following command will confirm, if the confirmation message is enabled or disabled on the IO Director CLI.

Login as 'admin', and run this command:

# show cli confirm

If the output of the above command is 'on' will see a similar warning message as below. Always check prior to making any destructive changes on the Fabric Directors using the command above.

admin@karnataka[xsigo] set vnic hyd01.hyderabad down

Deactivating a VNIC will cause the network interface on the server to become inoperable. Are you sure you want to deactivate VNIC hyd01.hyderabad (y/n)?

In order to change the confirmation setting, log into the IO Director as 'admin', and run the command below:

#set cli confirm <on/off>
