Goal

Learn how to restart the MIMM  (Main Information Model Manager) process on the Oracle Fabric Director SCP (System Control Processor)

Solution

The Fabric Director MIMM process coordinates and performs all data base write operations.

To restart the MIMM process, login as an 'admin' to the Oracle Fabric Director and follow the steps below:

admin@xavier[xsigo] set cli mode

Possible completions:

expert Expert mode (object model browser for experts only)

user User mode (the normal user mode)

xml XML mode (produces output in XML)

Repeat '?' for detailed help.

 

admin@xavier[xsigo] set cli mode debug

Command> debug scp

SCP> show processes

 
Look for the process ID for mimm:

=>29

9714 1836 R 54.804688 57912 $XSIGOROOT/bin/mimm -base 50000 -card 1 -slot 1 -inst 0 -chassis 1

 

SCP> restart process 29

 

To exit out of the debug mode.

 

SCP> u
