Goal

What ELS maintenance is required for VTCS support of VSM6?

Does ExPR 6.1 support the VSM6?

Solution

The following maintenance introduces VSM6 support to ELS:

ELS 7.0 - L1H15WO
ELS 7.1 - L1H15WP
ELS 7.2 - no PTF required

The following PTFs are required for VSM 6.0.x releases:

VSM 6.0.5.21 and higher:
ELS 7.0 requires PTF L1H15WO, L1H16Y2, L1H16ZJ, L1H1713, L1H172Q
ELS 7.1 requires PTF L1H15WP , L1H16Y3, L1H16ZK, L1H1714, L1H172R
ELS 7.2 requires no PTFs for VSM6 VTSS support

VSM 6.0.6.06 and higher:
ELS 7.0 requires PTF L1H15WO, L1H16Y2, L1H16ZJ, L1H1713, L1H172Q, L1H17IS, L1H17KX
ELS 7.1 requires PTF L1H15WP L1H15WP , L1H16Y3, L1H16ZK, L1H1714, L1H172R, L1H17IT, L1H17KY
ELS 7.2 requires PTF L1H17IU, L1H17KZ

It is recommended to install all cumulative maintenance as there may be subsequent PTFs released to resolve issues related to VSM6. Also be certain to review the VSM6 Release Notes as that will list any ELS PTFs that may be required to support VSM6.

ExPR 6.1 has not been updated to support the VSM6 and there are no plans to add support.
