FixDISPATCH INSTRUCTIONS WHAT SKILLS DOES ENGINEER NEED: ScApp, lom Task Complexity: 3 Time Estimate: 90 minutes FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS CAP PROBLEM OVERVIEW: LED Board Failure WHAT STATE SHOULD SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? WHAT ACTION DOES ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
1. Disconnect all I/O cables. 2. Attach a wrist strap or foot strap. Connect the ESD jack from the system to your wrist strap or foot strap. Place a grounded ESD mat close to the system. 3. At the front of the system, remove the I/O assemblies or I/O assembly filler board Note – When you remove the assemblies from the system, do not stack the assemblies of top of each other. 4. From the front of the system, disconnect the LED cable from the centerplane The connector key is on the top horizontal surface. 5. With a Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws securing the system LED board to the chassis. 6. Carefully remove the board, making sure that the cable connector does not catch on the chassis framework. Now is possible to install the new LED Board 7. Carefully push the cable through the chassis, making sure that the cable connector does not catch on the chassis framework. 8. With a Phillips screwdriver, tighten the two screws to secure the system LED board to the chassis. 9. From the front of the system, connect the LED cable from the centerplane 10. From the system, reinstall the I/O assemblies or I/O assembly filler board
OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE WHAT ACTION DOES CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE: Boot system if not already booting.
