TIME ESTIMATE: 45 mins TASK COMPLEXITY: 1 WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?: A data backup is not a pre-requisite but is a wise precaution. WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE?: Battery Caution – There is a risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with the wrong type. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions. To Replace the Battery 1. Turn server power off. 2. Ensure the server is properly grounded. 3. Remove the service panel. 4. Unclip the battery from its housing on the system board. 5. Locate the new battery in the housing and press down on it to secure it in place.
Restart software applications per applicable administration guides to resume system operation.
