Goal
Unable to add new brick, it remains in new status with an alert.
Solution
The method that was not working was:
Monitor Tab --> Hardware --> Bricks --> Right-click on the "New" Brick and click Accept Brick. Fill out the dialog box and click OK.
The method that did work:
Monitor Tab --> System Alerts --> Right-click on the alert for a "New" Brick and click Manage System Alert. Fill out the dialog box and click OK.
