Goal

To be able to identify the drive type, emulation mode and encryption value of a drive in ACSLS from the Acsls cmd_proc  'ACSSA> q drive all ' command.

Solution

In ACSLS, the q drive all command will list all configured drives. The details shown are like this:

Identifier   State    Status       Type

  0,0,0,0   Online   Available   T1B

  0,0,0,1   Online   Available   T1BE

  0,0,0,2   Online   Available   T1BE35

  0,0,0,3   Online   Available   T9940B35

The first part is always the drive type T1B (T10000B) The Next parts are only used if Encryption (E) and or if the drive is using emulation 35 (3592 mode)

Here is each type of STK drive as displayed by ACSLS, and then what they actually mean.

T9940A - T9940A with SCSI/Fibre or VSM3490.

9940-3590 - T9940A with 3590 emulation.
