DISPATCH INSTRUCTIONS

WHAT SKILLS ARE REQUIRED?: No special skills required, Customer Replaceable Unit (CRU) procedure

TIME ESTIMATE: 60 minutes

REMOVAL/REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS:

PROBLEM OVERVIEW: Alarm card failure

WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?  N/A

WHAT ACTIONS ARE REQUIRED?:

1. Shutting System Down

2. Extending Server to Maintenance Position

3. Performing Electrostatic Discharge Prevention Measures

4. Disconnecting Power From Server

5. Remove the Top Cover

6. Remove the PCI tray

7. Disconnect the cables from the alarm board

8. Push down on the tab, pivot the alarm board inward, and lift the alarm board out of the chassis

9. Align the tabs of the alarm board with the slots in the chassis wall

10. Swing the alarm board up to the chassis wall until it clicks into place.

11. Reconnect the cables to the alarm board at the following connectors
12. Install the top front cover on chassis

13. Connect Power, place system back into frame, then power on the system.
