WHAT SKILLS DOES THE ENGINEER NEED:(IS A SITE ENGINEER AVAILABLE?)
FE hardware skills, familiarity or training for T2000 platform.

FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS
PROBLEM OVERVIEW: Replacement of LED board
WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
Customer should shut the operating system down gracefully (using "init 5"), and after the system has shut down run the following commands from the ALOM:
1. setlocator on
2. poweroff
WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
Remove the LED board:
1. Verify the system has been shut down by the customer.
2. Remove top cover
3. Remove PCI Tray
4. Remove DIMM/CPU air duct
5. Remove the fan assy.
6. Loosen the thumbscrew of the LED board and swing the board out to the left.
7. Carefully lift the LED board and cable from the cable clips.
8. Disconnect the cable from the LED board
Install new LED board:
1. Connect the cable to the LED board.
2. Insert the tab on the LED board into the slot on the chassis
3. Swing the LED board right to the chassis and tighten the thumbscrew.
4. Route the LED board cable back into the cable guides.
5. Install the fan assembly.
6. Install the DIMM/CPU duct.
7. Install PCI Tray
8. Replace the top cover.
OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE:
Visually inspect the new LED/Switch board.
WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE: N/A
