Solution
DISPATCH INSTRUCTIONS
This Action Plan requires the use of a coin cell battery which the FE will usually supply. In some instances, the FE may contact dispatch to request that the battery be ordered.
FE INSTRUCTIONS
This action plan requires the use of a coin cell battery. The coin cell battery should be retrieved from your personal stock of coin cell batteries. If you cannot readily obtain the correct quantity of these batteries, please contact dispatch to arrange for order.

No special skills required, Customer Replaceable Unit (CRU) procedure

REMOVAL/REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS
PROBLEM OVERVIEW: failed T6320 system battery
WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
Prepare for service by performing the following tasks:
Shut Down the Oracle Solaris OS
Prepare the Server Module for Removal
Remove the Server Module From the Modular System
Remove the Cover
ESD Safety Measures
WHAT ACTIONS ARE REQUIRED:
1. Remove the service processor from the server module.
2. Carefully remove the battery from the service processor.
3. Install the replacement battery with the positive side (+) facing upward (away from the card).
4. Replace the service processor.
5. Return the server module to operation.
6. Use an Oracle ILOM command to set the clock’s day and time.
For example:
-> set /SP/clock datetime=061716192012
-> show /SP/clock
OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
WHAT ACTIONS ARE REQUIRED TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
Boot system and monitor boot sequence for errors. Test functionality of system:
1. Run the Solaris "fmadm faulty" and SP/ILOM "show faulty" command (if only ALOM is supported run "showfaults -v" command) to verify that the fault has been cleared.
2. Perform one of the following tasks based on your verification results:
* If the previous steps did not clear the fault, refer to doc 1004229.1 for information about the tools and methods you can use to diagnose and clear
component faults.
* If the previous steps indicate that no faults have been detected, the component has been replaced successfully. No further action is required
3. Restart software applications per applicable administration guides to resume system operation.
