ODA, Configurator, ODA Configurator, ODA options, ODA deployment, ODA Bare Metal, ODA-HA, ODA HA, ODAHA

Goal

The ODA HA ( Oracle Database Appliance High Availability ) offers two configuration options:

  • The configurator can be executed on the ODA appliance during the deployment
  • An offline configurator can be used ahead of time to pre-populate names, network and other appliance information

  • ONLY use the Standalone configurator  matching the same ODA version
  • The offline configurator does not apply to the ODA Lite series of servers (Single-Node)

To confirm the version an existing ODA :
As root local to each ODA Node:

   oakcli show version

   oakcli show env_hw

NOTE:

We recommend using the current ODA configurator version on MOS or under the Oracle.com -> Product Downloads

However, you can download the attached ODA Configurators to provide a quick, initial assessment of ODA Configuration options and steps.

Solution

Always use MOS Note 888888.1 as the first reference for ODA information including the most recent versions and known issues including the most current Configurator, patch and bundle information as well as known issues

Oracle Technet consistently has a link to the ODA offline configurators

Configurators from 2.2 up to 2.10 and 12.1.2.0 up to 12.1.2.9.0 are attached to this note for quick download
