Solution

Customers may refer to the online Service Guide available through the Axiom GUI under the Support Tab > Technical Documentation > Service Guide.
1) Once you open up the link, do a keyword search for iSCSI.
2) This will bring a search to the section for adding a PCiX Riser card, and the slots they best go into.
3) If only one iSCSI card is being replaced, then using the NIM replacement using Guided Maintenance will be sufficient, and avoids the need to bring the whole Axiom system down.
4) If both iSCSI cards are being added/replaced on a Slammer, then another option would be to place the Axiom in Shutdown state, thereafter powering it off. Replacement of the 2 cards can be done without the use of Guided Maintenance. Power on the system thereafter.
