GoalThe purpose of this document is to outline the steps required to replace a Slammer Power Supply using Guided Maintenance on a Pillar Axiom Storage System SolutionDISPATCH INSTRUCTIONS WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?: The FRU can be Failed/Warning status NOTE: Please refer to <Document 1535352.1> "Pillar Axiom: How to Disable Call Home to Prevent Automatic Service Request ASR Generation" before proceeding with the procedure below. Read reference docs before proceeding:
After system is prepared, Guided Maintenance displays a completion message and enables Next button. Remove Slammer Power Supply.
Important! Do Not remove the power cord from the other power supply
Caution! Do Not insert any instruments or tools into the open slot. Voltage is still present from partner power supply. Insert Slammer Power Supply
Important! Be sure to install Power Supply with Red Release tab in lower right corner. When Power Supply is seated correctly the release tab will lock into place.
Click Finish button, when Guided Maintenance enables it.
OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
