Goal
How to capture CLI logs from L180/L700/L1400 Tape Libraries.
Solution
MPC/MPCL card on L180/L700/L1400 has multiple RJ45 serial ports.
To Capture logs from CLI, FE should attach RJ45-DB9 serial adapter to top most serial port marked as CSE.
Use a network cable to interconnect DB9 adapter & Serial Port [COM] on FE Laptop.
Refer :
Serial Adapter P/N : 10410823 [CONN,TRANS,9,D-SUB-TO-RJ45]
Hyperterm Settings & Cable Pinout : Lxxx - Pinout for Cable to Connect to the CSE Port (Doc ID 1014033.1)
Once connected with Hyperterm, 'CLI>' prompt comes up.
From CLI>, Capture below command output & Save it to a text file.
cli> date print
cli> version
cli> libstate
cli> config view
cli> wwn view
cli> fsc print
cli> drive all
cli> stat all

Once the information has been acquired, attach to the Service Request for review as needed.
